Privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-26. This policy covers the Ghostline app for Android and iPhone, made by ARVYN LLC ("we").

The short version

• Ghostline has no accounts and asks for no name, email or phone number.
• Your progress stays on your phone.
• Ads are served by Google AdMob, which collects device data as described below. You can limit this.
• Purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment details.
• When you share a ghost, the link contains your run and your ghost's name and colour.

On your phone

Ghostline stores your progress (results, stars, streaks, points, your recorded runs), your settings and your ghost's look on your phone. It is not sent to us. If you delete the app, it is deleted too, unless you copied a backup code from Settings › Move your progress.

Ads (Google AdMob)

Ghostline shows optional rewarded videos and, for players without the Ghostline Pass, a few full-screen ads between races. These come from Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:

• your device's advertising identifier (the Android advertising ID or app set ID; on iPhone, the advertising identifier only if you allow tracking);
• your IP address, which is used to estimate your general location;
• how you interact with ads and the app (for example, ad views and taps), and diagnostic information such as app launch times and crashes.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Ghostline shows Google's consent form before personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy choices. On iPhone, Ghostline asks once whether apps may track you; the game works the same either way. You can also reset or turn off your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Google's use of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in Google's privacy policy.

Purchases

The Ghostline Pass and ghost items are bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. They handle payment under their own privacy policies. The app receives only a confirmation of what your store account owns, so it can unlock it and restore it on another phone.

Ghosts you share

When you share a result, Ghostline creates a link that contains your run on that board (your moves and their timing), your time, and your ghost's name, colour and material. Anyone who receives the link can see this. The link contains nothing else about you. If someone opens it on our website, the website reads the link inside their browser; the run is not stored on our server.

Racing other players' ghosts

If your version of Ghostline lets you race the ghosts of other players, it works like this. When you finish a daily race, your run (moves, timing, board, time), your ghost's name, colour and material, a random player number created by the app, the app version and whether you use Android or iPhone are sent to our ghost server, which runs on Cloudflare. Other players may then race your ghost and see its name. We do not link this to your identity, your advertising ID or your purchases. Runs are deleted after 30 days. You can stop sharing your runs at any time (Settings › Share my daily ghost), and Settings › Delete my ghost data removes every run of yours from the server. Players can report an offensive ghost name; reported names are hidden.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information, we don't build profiles of you, and Ghostline contains no analytics or social media SDKs.

Children

Ghostline is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has shared information through the app, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, and to object to its use. Because Ghostline has no accounts, most data never leaves your phone. For anything on our ghost server, use Settings › Delete my ghost data, or email us. For data collected by Google for ads, use the controls above or contact Google.
